Just 20 months after celebrating its one-millionth customer, Betfair was proud to announce that it now has two million players in its customer base. The UK based company, which was launched just 8 years ago, already has an impressive number of awards and records, including its second consecutive Queen’s Award for Enterprise. The awards ceremony for this prestigious title will take place early next week.

A Swedish player, Bo Ohrman, became player Number Two Million and even went on to win a luxury weekend for two to London on his bet!

The Chief Executive Officer for Betfair, David Yu, could not hide his pride and said: "In a year when we won a Queen's Award for International Trade, it seems fitting that Betfair's two millionth customer comes from outside the UK. Our international customers are already an essential part of our business and they are growing larger in number every day, so congratulations to Mr. Ohrman - he's joined the world's biggest online betting community."
